Wining and dining – The SuiteFiles team at our Christmas dinner
Hello everybody, once again it’s time for my Christmas message and, as usual, I’ve left it to the last minute. I think this has been a theme for 2016.
This year has been packed with events, new partnerships and a lot of interest in SuiteFiles, particularly from accountants looking for a document management solution that can tie into Xero’s accounting software. It’s meant that a lot of hard work and long hours have been put in over the last 12 months. I need to thank my fantastic team for doing this when required, and for putting up with me and my tardiness on things they’ve needed!
2016 has been huge for us. Our monthly subscription revenue has grown 240% in the past 12 months. We’ve had two road trips to Australia to spend time with existing customers, to pedal our wares, and to attend some Xero events. Both road trips were a lot of fun and great from a business perspective.
In February we partnered with Abacus Business Solutions, who have set up many businesses on SuiteFiles and continue to promote the Xero/SuiteFiles relationship. Recently we were very pleased to award Abacus our third annual SuiteFiles Partner of the Year Award for the awesome work that they’ve done.
Recently we also got a Jack! Jack is our summer intern who is working alongside our product team to help accelerate product development. After just three weeks he is already doing a great job.
Next year will be big for SuiteFiles. We have a lot of exciting product development projects planned. There is one that I think will change the way that small-medium businesses work with Office 365 and SharePoint. It’s a simple thing that has taken us four years and five attempts to achieve, but we’re nearly there. There is a lot of complexity in simplicity.
In 2017, we’re also planning on attending a lot more events, so keep an eye out for the SuiteFiles product and brand!
As I do every year, I need to make some shout outs and say some thank yous. Thank you to:

- Our customers – those who have been with us from Day One to our newest sign ups. I sing a little song every time a new customer comes on board so that the team knows about our success in helping another business.
- Our partners for continuing to promote SuiteFiles to their customers because they see the value of what we do.
- Our great friends at Xero who daily promote us to accounting firms in need of a document management solution.
None of you are taken for granted and all of the feedback we receive is greatly appreciated.
Now, it’s time for a break. I hope that you’re all having one, and a good one at that. The SuiteFiles team and I are all taking a break over the Christmas period and are really looking forward to it. I know the team here deserve it.
